Other facilities include a swimming pool (including a children’s pool), restaurant and bar. These overlook two waterholes frequented by elephants, antelope, and are inhabited by crocodiles.
The architecture of Zaina Lodge was inspired by the ancient Djenne architecture of the Larabanga Mosque, one of the oldest in West Africa, which is located just outside Mole National Park. Most of the building resources were taken from the Lodge site or other parts of Northern Ghana. For sustainability, the entire water system is solar powered, and the only lighting used on the premises is LED lighting.
